“Bukowski’s Typewriter”

“there is a loneliness in this world so great
that you can see it in the slow movement of
the hands of a clock
people so tired
mutilated
either by love or no love.
people just are not good to each other
one on one.
the rich are not good to the rich
the poor are not good to the poor.
we are afraid.”

This came as ‘Bulkowski’s Writing Desk’ and I love seeing it.
Reading his poem makes the inside of my nose burn as it forces tears to form in my eyes.
Lisa, through your posts, I’ve grown to love this coarse, sometimes gross, poetic “snakeman”.

Nicole, my first post was of his writing desk but it was not a great pic! You should rend the dvd “Born Into This” with Bukowski…it’s amazing and when I watched it, he became a sensitive abused puppy/child in my eyes. His father was horrid to him…his poetry is so raw & honest. I have grown to adore him! LK
